Surrender of group relief against policyholders share of I-E computation is prevented by FA 2012 section 127 (3)(c).
Policyholders share is defined in FA 2012 section 102.
Point I hadn't realised before was it is not possible to set qualifying donations against the policyholders share, but this is disapplied for mutual insurers.
